Empowering change empowering Tech

Middle age is no fun! So many parts of my body seem to be working less with each passing year. And my doctor just shrugs off anything that isn’t catastrophic or is obviously wrong.

Therefore, I always keep my eyes and ears open for possible solutions and sometimes they are unconventional. I don’t care as long as they look safe and are alleviating or even eliminating a problem!

I started studying saunas to help with detoxification and kick-start my slow metabolism. What I learned about the benefits of an infrared sauna compared to a traditional one (and a steam bath) was fascinating.

It’s true. all saunas and steam rooms have therapeutic benefits. They are good for:

  • improve blood circulation
  • cleanse and rejuvenate the skin
  • relieve muscle tension
  • promote feelings of relaxation and well-being
  • improve detoxification processes

However, it is important to note that steam rooms, hot air saunas, and hot tubs warm your body. from the outside.

Infrared saunas emit far infrared rays that heat your body from inside.

And this deep penetration allows the cells to eliminate better. Some studies even say that infrared can be 6 or 7 times more effective in detoxification than standard saunas. That is significant!

Additionally, infrared saunas can burn 600 calories in a 30-minute session. Can you believe it? This apparently happens when the body is cooling down. There is an increase in blood flow from a typical rate of 5 to 7 quarts per minute to 13 quarts per minute. Increased body temperature and blood flow gives you very real, passive, cardio training benefits!

So how has this helped me? In a matter of days I started to look different. My face stopped looking puffy. Five pounds of weight that I couldn’t lose in 3 years quickly disappeared. Within a month! I didn’t change anything else in my routine during this time. Three one-hour infrared sauna sessions a week is all I had. Some would say that I got dehydrated. I do not agree. The weight dropped and stayed that way for an entire season. If I got dehydrated, the weight would go back up immediately. My metabolism sped up. I am convinced that I did not gain weight during the holidays because of this!

Also, the aches and pains that I had been waking up to for quite some time had dramatically decreased. And the eczema on my legs decreased significantly. It became barely noticeable.

You may be able to find a spa in your area to try an infrared sauna for yourself. This is how I was able to experience this incredible technology. I paid per week for 3 hour sessions. Someday soon I hope to have one of these at home!

Once you get to the point of wanting to buy one for yourself, I recommend these folks:
