SUBJECT: PLEASE CONSIDER AND HAVE MERCY ON US

I call you brother not because he is your mother’s son or a Muslim brother. But you are my brother because we are both Nigerians, although you have actually told us that you are the newest caliph in the world. Brother, I know you have respect for Usumah bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Ladin (may the Most High God admit him to Paradise) and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Al-Husseini Al-Qurashi, but I want to draw your attention to Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio (who May Most High God admit it in Paradise), the most influential Islamic scholar in the history of Islam in West Africa and probably Africa because he was closer to us than the other two jihadists.

Brother Abu, in September 1804 Shehu Uthman dan Fodio declared the first jihad in Nigeria against the rulers of Gobir. His reasons for the jihad were;

For. Gobir’s people mix Islam with paganism. The Hausa people mixed the teachings of the Prophet (saaw) with aspects of traditional regional religion.

B. The rulers of Gobir imposed heavy taxes on the poor and oppressed the peasantry.

vs. The government of the Habe or Hausa rulers was corrupt and inefficient. Citizens cannot obtain administrative justice in the court of law without paying bribes.

D. Courts of law administered customary rather than Islamic justice. The main penalties for breaking the law were heavy fines that helped increase the state’s revenue.

me. Business laws were not enforced to protect society against extortion.

F. The Fulani (relatives of Uthman dan Fodio) were excluded from the higher levels of government even though they had more education.

gram. The attempted assassination of Uthman dan Fodio by Yunfa, the ruler of Gobir.

Darul Tawhid, on August 9, 2009, his Boko Haram sect declared war on Nigeria. According to his spokesman, the reasons for the declaration of war were as follows;

For. The adoption of a civilized or western constitution with provisions such as the rights and privileges of women, the idea of homosexuality, lesbianism, multi-party democracy, blue films, rape of infants, prostitution, drinking beer and alcohol and many others that are opposed . to Islamic civilization.

B. The murder of their first leader Mallam Yusuf (may the Most High God admit him to Paradise) in a cruel, wicked and malicious way.

vs. The non-adoption of Sharia law in Nigeria and

D. The existence of evil political parties that run the country, the corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political leadership of Nigeria.

Brother Abu, I know that I am not qualified to address you because I am not of your caliber in age, wealth, size, education and fame. Also my dedicated fellowship with the “people of the Book” is a great disadvantage when talking to you. Please have mercy on me. I strongly perceive that the jihad of Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio that inspired the first jihadists like Ahmadu Seku, Alhaji Umar, Samori Ibn and Lafiya Toure also has a great influence on you. A critical look at the reasons for Uthman’s jihad and his own shows some similarities. But I want to say categorically that some of the reasons for their struggle are genuine, while others are not justifiable.

Darul Tawheed, the Nigerian state has never enacted laws to encourage women to disrespect their husbands, nor have they prevented women from marrying. All we have done is create laws that protect women from being treated like animals. They should be polite and not used as household utensils. Uthman dan Fodio was very vocal in educating women. He took the women out of their homes and put them in one area and the men in another area and began to give them lessons regularly. My brother, Nigeria is not guilty of this accusation.

The Nigerian National Assembly, regardless of all pressure from the West, recently enacted the Anti-Gay Law, which shows that Nigeria is against lesbianism and homosexuality. I am very sure that our leaders will continue to resist any internal or external force that pressures them to legalize these heinous acts. I feel that we are not guilty of this accusation. In addition, this nation has laws that prohibit drug trafficking and rape and several offenders have been duly punished. We are totally against drug trafficking and our land prohibits rape. But their actions may be reasonable because nations corrupt law enforcement officials and the judiciary, who sometimes abandon or overturn the law due to the influence of bribery. But by the grace of God, all corrupt government officials will soon be wiped out of Nigeria.

Big brother, the issue of multi-party democracy, blue movies, prostitution, drinking beer and alcohol, and many others who oppose Islamic civilization are more complex. About the topic; Multi-party democracy, sir, I can’t say much about that because I think the people should elect their leaders. I think I know your grievance, all leaders must be chosen by the Almighty. But I also believe that the voice of the whole majority is an indicator of God’s will. A free and fair election will produce a good leader.

Pornography, prostitution, and alcoholism are a threat to society. They have done more harm than good. Although our government has not enacted laws prohibiting these acts, I only support the prohibition of these social vices. Almost all religions in Nigeria preach against pornography, prostitution and alcoholism. I also suggest that we teach Nigerians the good news of the Holy Book to avoid mixing the teachings of the Prophet (saaw) with aspects of the other religion.

The murder of their first leader Mallam Yusuf (may the Most High God admit him to Paradise) in a cruel, wicked and malicious way is highly condemnable. He was not given a fair hearing, but he was mercilessly murdered. We are guilty of murder. My only comment on this topic is; have mercy, have compassion and forgive our sin. We can’t replace your life, but I know we’ve learned our lessons the hard way.

My brother, what I am talking about now is just a personal matter, the entities that make up Nigeria are not all Muslim. Islam was predominantly the state religion in most of northern Nigeria and other regions had their own religion. Nigeria has never been an Islamic State because the 1914 merger brought different religions together and insisting that citizens should convert to a particular religion might not be possible. Even Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio never forced pagans to convert to Islam; rather, they were subject to protective taxes. The Nigerian nation has the Sharia Court which has the power to try all cases related to Islam. I suggest that all Muslims should maximize the wisdom of Sharia Law, while other citizens should be allowed to practice their own religion because jihad is not a declaration of war against other religions. It is worth noting that the Holy Quran specifically refers to Jews and Christians as “people of the book” who must be protected and respected. All three religions worship the same God. Allah is just the Arabic word for God, and it is used by both Arab Christians and Muslims. As long as non-Muslims remain meek and willing to live in peace among believers and do not intend to dominate Muslims, their divine obligation is to treat them peacefully, despite their denial of Islam. Brother, come and make a treaty with the government.

Brother, you raised the issue of the evil political parties that run the country, the corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political leadership of Nigeria as one of the reasons for the jihad. My brother, I am your first witness in this matter. Corruption has deeply eaten the fibers of this nation. Today, corrupt politicians receive national honors and chieftain titles. They fly in private jets because they don’t want to drive on rough roads. They travel abroad for medical care because they know they have turned our hospitals into a den of death. Their children attend the best schools abroad because they know that our schools hardly produce graduates who can compete favorably with their counterparts due to misappropriation of education funds. Abu, we scream and they pretend they are deaf. We cry but it seems that our tears are not seen. Poverty and death are now the order of the day. Nigerians die every day by the thousands because of these heartless and evil politicians. In fact, the number of people who have died as a result of the looting of national funds is less than the number that you and your sects have killed. If we add the number of Nigerians who die every day in traffic accidents on bad roads, those who lose their lives due to lack of drugs or people who have died during fires due to lack of electricity, you will agree with me.

If indeed one of your reasons for this jihad is to eliminate the evil, corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political parties of Nigeria’s political leadership, then the masses are solidly behind you because they are our main problem, not you. Brother, I have a question for you, since you started this jihad, how many corrupt politicians have you punished? All of them and their family members can afford the best security device that will temporarily keep them safe. Some of them have even decided to live outside the country and fly to the country on their private jets. The victims of jihad are the poor for whom you say you are fighting. Abu, they are killing us daily and you are also doing the same, what do you want us to do?

Brother, all these attacks, kidnappings and murders should stop. They promised us that in six months if they are in charge of Yobe, Adamawa and Borno, Boko Haram will be crushed. We gave it to them and they asked for another six months which they also received. Now that they want another six months and people are asking; the child you couldn’t hit when he was crawling, how can you hit him now that he has started to walk?

My sincere purpose in writing this article is to apologize. We’re sorry we killed you, great leader. We regret promoting pornography, alcoholism and prostitution. I also apologize on behalf of our greedy and evil politicians, have mercy on them. Remember that the Prophet Muhammad told his followers returning from a military campaign: “This day we have returned from minor jihad to major jihad”, which he said meant returning from armed battle to peaceful battle for self-control and gets better. That is, you can protect the faith against others using legal, diplomatic, and economic or political means. Darul Tawhid, tell the government what you want and stop killing those you want to protect.
