Matthew 12:43amp.

43 But when the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, it wanders through dry places [arid places] looking for rest, but can’t find it.

The writer Matthew expresses how unclean spirits come out of man. He doesn’t mention if they were expelled or just left alone for transfer purposes. When they left, they wandered around for a while. Where did they wander? Dry, arid places, without water or (without life), that’s where.

What are dry places?

The Dictionary/Thesaurus defines dry as waterless, devoid, deficient in moisture, arid, barren, and unadorned.

Because these two reference verses and definitions were not clear to me, I asked the Lord to give me understanding. Often, hearing other believers bind up, cast out demons, and send them to dry places, he would ask me, “What are these places?”

He began to teach me that Dry Places are temporary dwelling places for demonic spirits. A dry place is any temporary, lifeless, lifeless (non-breathing), instrument, object, or molecular substance through which demons can travel to reach a permanent host body.

A solid, liquid or gas can be a dry place. Water is wet in the natural sense but a Dry Place in the spiritual sense because it falls under the above description. See Leviticus 11:36, 38 about water becoming unclean.

There is also paper, cloth, wood, metal, cement, plastic, food, and more. Leviticus 11:31-32

These you will consider unclean of all reptiles; whoever touches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening. 32 Whatever they drop when they die, whether it be a wooden object, a piece of clothing, a skin (bottle), or a sack,

These are vehicles that Satan and his imps use to reach a host body, human or animal. It does not matter if it is a religious article with marks or symbols. Nor if it is a pair of white or blue socks thrown at the bottom of the closet. The enemy doesn’t care, he just needs a vehicle to get to a body!

Let’s take a look at some of these dry places.

Paper, books, money.

People handle money, including people who are contaminated with spiritual problems. Through these items, the spirits circulate throughout the world.

Old fabrics, sheets, blankets, curtains, shoes and used clothing **See Leviticus 15 verses 5-8.

From my early years as a Christian, the Lord dealt with me taking clothes off different people. Being a victim of poverty we were very limited with funds to buy new clothes. Family, friends, and church members donated much of what they owned. The old apartment was constantly flooded with bags of used clothes and shoes. Not to appear ungrateful, some of these items were like new, as well as very pretty. In addition to clothing and disorder, the spirits with which the former owners fought came. God told me to “throw them away!”

Because? Spiritual depression had entered my home through clothing along with suicide, poverty, fear, confusion, etc. Satan for many years had used this as a channel to contaminate my home.

Spirits love to attach themselves to clutter, especially clothing, due to the ability to hide there. Keep in mind that washing clothes will not only remove spirits, they need to be blessed and prayed for.

(A positive point)

God’s Spirit or anointing can penetrate and damage clothing, aprons, handkerchiefs, healing oil and casting out demons.

Acts 19:11-12 KJV

And God worked special miracles by the hand of Paul: 12 So that handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and diseases came out of them, and evil spirits came out of them.

Wood, plaster, cement,

Furniture

Spirits are emitted through furniture, sofas, tables, chairs, desks.

Mattresses **See Leviticus 15 verses 5-8

Imagine an old used or refurbished mattress brought from a thrift store. If the original owners suffered for many years with lustful spirits, depression, etc. You can imagine what the new owners might experience. Let the purchase be careful!

Canes, Wands and Canes

Exodus 7:11-12 KJV

11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; now, the magicians of Egypt also did the same with their enchantments. 12 for each one brought down his rod, and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.

This may seem extreme but it gives a Biblical demonstration of how spirits can be transferred to objects.
