St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island are popular Florida vacation destinations due to their beautiful beaches and year-round sunny weather. Located just outside of St. Petersburg, they are also very close to many St. Petersburg attractions. But when it comes to nightlife, you don’t have to leave the beach either. While the area is known for “fun in the sun” during the day, there are plenty of places to go out on St. Pete Beach.

Woody’s Waterfront Bar – The third in a group of three bars on the Blind Pass Channel, Woody’s Waterfront Bar is a longtime local favorite. Founded in 1945, it is one of the oldest beach bars in the area. Known best as a family restaurant, Woody’s still serves as a great nightlife spot with nightly entertainment Wednesday through Sunday. Al fresco dining offers the best experience, as you can have a couple of their signature margaritas and share a few laughs with friends. The breeze off the water will immediately cool you down, even when the night heats up!

Ricky T’s – This is where the locals go, and you can see it just by driving – the outside area is always packed with locals ready to get an early start on their weekends, and good! Located on Treasure Island and just minutes from the Blind Pass road that connects Treasure Island to St. Pete Beach, it is within walking distance of many Treasure Island Condos and is a short trolley ride from St. Pete Beach. It usually draws a crowd of 30+.

Sloppy Pelican – It’s fun to go on foot or by boat! Located right on the Blind Pass Channel you can dock your boat and come for a drink or dinner. Their food is pretty good, and much better than your typical “bar food”. They also have University Nights, so the younger ones can come and enjoy a night out. Wednesday-Friday nights also include live music on the terrace from 4-10pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 1-10pm. Also be sure to check out their latest events: their Saturday Pub Crawl starting at 7 pm and its parties at sunset on Sundays.

Gators – Located in Johns Pass on Treasure Island and just outside Madeira Beach, Gators is known for its football watch parties, live entertainment, and bikini contests. College Nights are on Mondays, but other than that, this well-known bar is frequented by locals young and old. And just like Sloppy Pelican, you can come on foot or by boat.

Undertow – A popular beach destination during the day (it’s located directly on the Gulf), this St. Pete Beach hotspot also caters to the nightlife crowd. Spacious with an entire room full of billiards, it’s a great place to hang out with friends and walk on the beach. Cool, relaxed, just the way locals and visitors like it here.

Caddy’s – Located on Sunset Beach between Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach, Caddy’s, like Undertow, is known as one of the hottest daytime spots on the beach. During the day, especially on weekends, these beach bars cater to the young in their 20s and 30s, but at night, people of all ages enjoy the food, beach volleyball, and live entertainment here.

Philthy Phil’s – Another oceanfront beach bar, Philthy Phil’s is located on the Blind Pass Channel between Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach. It’s also right across the street from Sloppy Pelican, making it the ideal place for bar hopping. If you like karaoke, check out Philthy Phil’s on Tuesday nights or the Singer-Songwriter Open Mic on Thursday nights. Also with live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday, Philthy Phil’s is great for both family and couples dining.

Wahoo’s on the Island – Located directly across from Treasure Island’s famous Treasure Island Tower, Wahoo’s on the Island is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Offering karaoke on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, along with a piano bar on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you’re assured of quality live entertainment any night of the week, including the dueling piano on Fridays and Saturdays!
