Asked by the German newspaper Die Welt how he sees the European Union in 20 years’ time, EU industry commissioner Gunter Verheugen replied: “I think… we will have a political union, but maybe not with all the states that are now part of the EU.
“Certain European states will agree to have common competences in foreign, economic and financial policy, as well as in judicial policy.”
The European Observer reported “The comments point to the possible creation of a ‘core’ Europe of EU states further integrating policies, with other states opting out.
This view emerged in the 1990s in German conservative political circles and has since gained adherents mainly in France and Belgium…”.
In reality, the vision was foreseen a thousand years ago. The prophet Daniel foresaw that the current European Union will move towards the final rebirth of the wicked Roman Empire that will once again trample the earth; it will consist in TEN NATIONS of Europe that will serve as the engine of the “New Europe”, whose driving force will later be revealed as GERMANY and the VATICAN. Even these top ten won’t have the right chemistry to sustain a long-lasting relationship. Such a marriage of convenience will only last 3 1/2 years.
The Book of Revelation confirms this vision by offering more detail, showing how ten leaders will surrender their sovereignty to A MAN who will lead Europe; how the ten kings would have been under strong religious influence to lend their support to such man; and 2 Thessalonians warns European leaders man he will fall prey to the seductive powers to proclaim himself a divine emperor!
The would-be divine emperor of Europe (German?) will deceive the nations into fighting the return and reign of the true Jesus from Heaven, who will appear in full view of all mankind, in heaven, before landing on earth. Mount of Olives. We are getting very close to the fulfillment of these prophecies!
Daniel 2:41-45
41 Just as you saw that the feet and [ten] the toes were partly clay and partly iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, just as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes of the feet were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And as you saw iron mixed with clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, as iron is mixed with clay.
44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will raise up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. He will crush all those kingdoms and destroy them, but himself 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut from a mountain, but not by human hand: a rock that crumbled iron, bronze, clay, silver and gold.
“The great God has shown the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true and the interpretation is reliable.”
Daniel 7:23-27
23 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on the earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings that will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the previous ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the established times and laws. The saints will be given to him for a time, times and half a time. [3 1/2 years]
26 “‘But the court will sit, and its power will be taken away and utterly destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, the power, and the greatness of the kingdoms under all heaven will be given to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’
Daniel 11:36
36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt himself and magnify himself above all gods and say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will succeed until the time of wrath is complete, for what has been determined must take place .
