Have you ever thought about the ingredients of the mate coffee cream you use? There are definitely pros and cons to this product. I guess it depends on how much coffee you consume in a day and if you are one of those people who cares about everything that goes on in your body. Luckily I’m not one of those because I definitely love my coffee and I have to have the creamer. I am simply not willing to drink coffee alone, but I do want to share with you some of the ingredients of the coffee creamer brands.

There is a list of about eight ingredients in most coffee creamers. There are so many different types of these creams. You can buy it as a liquid, powder, fat-free, fat-free, natural bliss, sugar-free, low-fat, etc. It really depends on your flavor of choice. Mine is the non-fat liquid coffee mate cream. Looking at the ingredients, I couldn’t even pronounce most of these. Some of them didn’t make sense to me. Sodium casein was one ingredient that did. It is a derivative of milk and a type of protein found in the milk of mammals. Some people are allergic to it. It is used in coffee mate cream to prevent coagulation. So this could be bad for you if you are allergic to it.

Other reasons some people may choose not to use crème mate de coffee in their coffee is because depending on the form you buy it, the sugar and calorie content may be more than you want. Low fat natural bliss had the most calories of all of these. It had 40 calories per serving, 5 grams of sugar, 7 carbohydrates, and 1.5 grams of total fat. This could add a lot of extra fat and calories. Not so natural.

Now, on the other hand, the advantages are that it really does make the coffee taste wonderful. I can’t wait to get up in the morning and have that first cup of coffee with my cream. This is how my perfect day begins. The fat-free liquid coffee mate I like to use only has 1 gram of carbs and 0 sugars. Another plus is that coffee is a great way to socialize with your friends. You can meet some of them at a local coffee shop and have a great conversation over a cuppa. It can be very relaxing. So I think there are more pros to coffee mate creamer than cons.

As for me, it’s not going to make any difference what’s in my favorite creamer, I plan on having my coffee like I always have, with my creamer. It just wouldn’t be the same without him. And to all you coffee drinkers you make your own decision. I already made mine.
